Washing your hands properly is one of the best ways of protecting yourself against the spread of germs.  Yet up to 60% of men and 30% of women do not wash their hands after leaving the bathroom.

Powder Room Services provide the highest quality hand sanitiser soap manufactured in NZ to MAF approved specifications.  The concentrated soap has skin conditioning properties added to provide a moisturising quality that is soft and nourishing to the hands.

We offer a choice of liquid or foam soap and provide anti-bacterial and industrial strength soap suitable for all industries including food and medical.

Powder Room Services also supply waterless foam sanitiser which removes 99.99% of bacteria.  It is quickly absorbed into the skin, leaving it sanitised and moisturised.  The active ingredient will leave a protective measure on your hands after use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we have to pay for the dispensers?

Powder Room offers our ‘complimenting white range’ of paper and soap dispensers free on loan provided you purchase the paper / soap through us. There is a charge associated with our exclusive stainless steel paper and soap dispenser range.

How long do I need to wash my hands for to effectively clean them?

According to the Ministry of Health and microbiologists, washing hands properly takes at least 20 seconds by using a good quality soap and water with a rubbing action.

What is wrong with using blocks of soap at work?

Blocks of soap tend to dry and form cracks. In a shared situation, users tend to rub their hands on the soap only to leave traces of their own bacteria on it. This seeps into the cracks and is a haven for bacteria to multiply. Once picked up and used by another person the bacteria is transferred.

What is wrong with using our own soap?

Powder Room Services provide a high quality soap that is enriched with sanitising and moisturising qualities. This will eliminate the drying of hands through any other additive. The non perfumed soap works well with a number of people who suffer from skin allergies or dermatitis. Powder Room Services soap is MAF approved for use in food processing and medical industries.

Where would we install a waterless foam hand sanitiser?

As it is not the most hygienic practice to wash hands at the kitchen sink, Powder Room Services recommend a waterless foam sanitiser in the work kitchen. This will prevent bacteria on dirty hands to be transmitted in an area where food and drinks are prepared. It eliminates the need to use soap and water, and reduces the temptation by many to target the tea-towel to dry their hands on.
